How to use Amazon Frustration-Free Setup with MERCUSYS camera

What is Frustration-Free Setup?

Amazon Frustration-Free Setup can help connect and set up Mercusys smart devices in fewer steps without having to remember and re-enter your Wi-Fi password on each device.

To use this feature, confirm the following:

● The new Mercusys camera supports Amazon FFS.

● You have an Amazon FFS-enabled Alexa device or router.

● You have saved your Wi-Fi information to Amazon by using Alexa Echo.

● Your Mercusys camera and router are on the same network as your Alexa Echo.

How to use Amazon Frustration-Free Setup with Mercusys devices

1) Open the Amazon Alexa app. Then tap More and select Skills & Games.

2) Enter Mercusys in the search bar and choose Mercusys. 

3) Tap the ENABLE TO USE button.

4) Log in with your Mercusys ID that is bound to your Mercusys camera, and tap Authorize. After being authorized successfully, the message that Mercusys has been successfully linked will come up.

5) Plug in your Mercusys camera, and the setup will be completed automatically in two minutes.

For setting up more Mercusys devices, just plugin and enjoy!

If this camera displays on the Camera page in the Mercusys app, it indicates this device has been successfully associated with your Amazon account and joined your Wi-Fi network automatically.

If this camera does not display on the Camera page in the Mercusys app, try setting it up manually. (Tap the + button on the page, select your device model, and then follow the app instructions.)

What does the LED indicate on Mercusys camera?

If the LED does not turn solid green after a long time, you can try to add it manually. (Press the Reset button on your Mercusys device once. Then open the Mercusys app, tap the + button on the page, select your device model, and follow the app instructions. )

What devices can help me set up my Mercusys devices and connect them to my Wi-Fi?

Echo (2nd Gen and newer), Echo Dot (2nd Gen and newer), Echo Show, Echo Show 5, Echo Spot, and Echo Input, as well as select Fire TV devices and Fire tablets, can act as helper devices that create a simple setup network to support new device setup. Select routers such as MR90X can also act as frustration-free setup helper devices.
