How to update the firmware for a Halo device

Este artigo se aplica:

An up-to-date firmware provides better and more stable network performance, so we highly recommend you always update Halo to the latest firmware version.

Here are two ways to update the firmware.

Method 1: Update the firmware via the Mercusys app.

Here, we take Halo H80X as an example.

Log into the Mercusys app and tap More > Update Halo. Here you can see if your current firmware is up to date. If not, please follow the instructions on this page to update the firmware to the latest one.

Tips:

If the firmware update fails, please reboot the main Halo, move the Satellite Halo closer to the main Halo, and then try to update again.

Method 2: Update the firmware manually via the web UI, which applies to the Mercusys models that have the web management page.

Note:

  • Some models have multiple hardware versions. Please install the correct firmware version for the hardware version of your router. Wrong firmware upgrading may damage your device and void the warranty.

Verify the hardware version of your MERCYSYS device by referring to How to find the hardware version on a MERCYSYS device

  • Do NOT turn off the power during the upgrade process.
  • Please write down the key settings as a backup before you start to upgrade because the old settings may be lost after upgrading.
